Analyse: La nouvelle UE a-t-elle un intérêt vital pour l'Allemagne?"

Les ONG allemandes Netzwerk Europäische Bewegung Deutschland et Europa-Union Deutschland ont lancé une étude menée par des experts politiques et économiques pour établir quels avantages l’Allemagne tire de son appartenance à l’UE.

The study discusses several factors of European integration and the overall impact of the EU on Germany. It especially focuses on the impact of the single European market on the German economy, on the effect of the Euro, on the impact of the EU on Germany’s employment situation, on Germany’s net contribution to the EU as well as on foreign policy issues. 

The EU has been reproached by some critics for having had a negative influence on Germany’s economy. This is now contested by a study showing the opposite. According to this study, Germany is a main beneficiary of its EU membership both economically and politically.
